PROJECT SUMMARY 

ORANGE COUNTY, NY LANDFILL

The Orange County, NY landfill issued a RFP in November, 2004 for an energy development project.  The landfill has an extraction system and the feasibility study confirmed that the current flow of gas would support 2.60MW of electrical generation.  The site is closed and gas flow will therefore decline gradually over the next 20-25 years.  Methane Credit was successful in securing the contract and is presently developing the site.  

Methane Credit will install two GE Jenbacher 320 gensets with a combined 2.12MW capacity.  The gensets will be connected to the New York Independent System Operator transmission network.  The standard Power Purchase Agreements with NYISO will apply.   The project should be fully operational early in 2009.
