PROJECT SUMMARY

WAYNE COUNTY, NC

The Wayne County, NC landfill has just under 3 million tons of waste in place and will be accepting MSW for 20-30 more years.  Methane Credit negotiated this energy project with the county and expects it to be operational early in 2009. 

Methane Credit is developing an electrical generation project at the site.  Under the current conditions, the site will generate 2 MW of power and in years to come will support around 6-8 MW. Initially, two GE Jenbacher 320 gensets will be installed with plans to add a third unit a few years later.
